The Gerald Miller Award will be awarded annually to the Northern Plains Railroad Maintenance of Way or Complete Track Works employee who demonstrates a commitment to safety, quality workmanship, innovation, and like Gerald did, goes above and beyond the call of duty ensuring that NPR’s customers are served despite the weather, track conditions, or challenges. Each year, creating a lasting legacy, NPR will make a donation of $1000 to a charity or community program of the individual award winner’s choice.
The 2016 Gerald Miller award winner is KYLE SANDVIG, CTW Production Supervisor. The Award was presented by NPR Chairman Gregg Haug and Jesse Chalich, at the annual employee meeting held in Grand Forks in December.
This award honors the memory of Gerald Miller, whose service and dedication to the Maintenance of Way department of Northern Plains Railroad from its inception was respected and appreciated by all.
