The GERALD MILLER AWARD is awarded annually to the Northern Plains Railroad Maintenance of Way or Northern Plains Rail Services Track division employee who demonstrates a commitment to safety, quality workmanship, innovation, and like Gerald did, goes above and beyond the call of duty ensuring that NPR’s customers are served despite the weather, track conditions, or challenges. Each year, creating a lasting legacy, NPR will make a donation of $500 to a charity or community program of the individual award winner’s choice, along with giving the employee $500.

The 2018 Gerald Miller award winner is Rodger Harmon, Supervisor Special Projects, NPRS Track division. He has been with NPR for 23 years.  Rodger has chosen the Lansford, ND Ambulance Service for his donation.
