Historic Canadian Pacific Depot Restoration Breathes New Life Into an 1898 Landmark
Northern Plains Rail Services was pleased to contribute to the continued preservation of the classic 1898-built Canadian Pacific Railway depot, now located adjacent to Boundary Trail Railway’s operations at Manitou, Manitoba. Together with a host of other donors, this historic structure—originally located west of Manitou at LaRiviere, Manitoba—has been preserved by a group of dedicated community volunteers that includes Travis Long, General Manager of Boundary Trail Railway.
By the end of 2025, the group had raised just over $300,000 to cover restoration costs. NPRS is proud to be part of the group who have since 2020 supported this effort by way of cash donations, together with continued technical and other support.
