The Powerful Impact of Hockey, Community, and Generosity
This past year, CPKC held its 42nd annual hockey tournament in Brandon, Manitoba, which was considered by organizers to be a huge success. Northern Plains Railroad was pleased once again to be an annual sponsor. Since 2006, this event has raised more than $469,000 for a wide group of charities with a lasting impact on communities.
With the help of all participants, sponsors, and volunteers, the 2024 CPKC tournament raised over $58,000 for Westman Dreams for Kids, which provides unique experiences and fulfills specific needs for families dealing with the complexities of illness. With CPKC providing an additional $25,000 in matching funds, an incredible $81,000 was raised. The 2025 tournament will be held in Winnipeg in April; for further information, see cphockey.ca.
